Living by Faith When Life Makes No Sense
“. . . the righteous shall live by his faith.”
Habakkuk 2:4 (NKJV)
This is the heartbeat of the entire book. When the world is unstable, when evil seems to win, when prayers feel unanswered—“. . . the righteous live by faith.”
Not by fear. Not by headlines. Not by emotions. Not by cultural pressure. By faith.
Faith is not denial. It is defiance—defying despair, defying hopelessness, defying the lie that God has abandoned us. Faith says, “I trust God even when I don’t understand God.”
In today’s world, living by faith means choosing hope when cynicism is easier. It means choosing obedience when compromise is popular. It means choosing prayer when complaining feels more natural. It means believing God is still writing the story.
Habakkuk learned that faith is not built in comfort—it is built in crisis.
Closing Prayer:
Father, help me live by faith when life makes no sense. Strengthen my trust, deepen my hope, and steady my heart. Let my life reflect confidence in You alone. In Jesus’ name, AMEN!
