“I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.”
John 15:5 (NKJV)
Being alive in Christ is not a passive experience—it is a fruitful one. Jesus teaches that when we abide in Him, His life flows through us, producing spiritual fruit that blesses others and glorifies God. Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control are not self-generated qualities; they are the evidence of Christ’s life within us.
Fruitfulness is the natural result of staying connected to Jesus. When we draw near to Him in prayer, Scripture, worship, and obedience, His character begins to shape our own. Our words become more gracious, our actions more compassionate, and our hearts more aligned with His.
You are alive in Christ, and because of that, your life has the potential to bear fruit that impacts eternity. Stay close to Him. Let His life flow freely through you. The fruit will come—not by striving, but by abiding.
Closing Prayer:
Lord, help me abide in You so that my life bears lasting fruit. Let others see Your life in me. In Jesus’ name I pray, AMEN!
