God’s Answer We Didn’t Expect
“Look among the nations, and see; wonder and be astounded.”
Habakkuk 1:5 (NKJV)
When God finally answers Habakkuk, the answer is not what he expected. God essentially says, “I am doing a work in your days that you would not believe if told.” God was already moving behind the scenes, orchestrating events Habakkuk couldn’t see.
This is where many of us struggle. We want God to fix things quickly, cleanly, and comfortably. But God often works slowly, deeply, and through circumstances we would never choose. His ways stretch beyond our understanding.
In today’s world—where we see moral decline, cultural confusion, and spiritual apathy—it’s easy to assume God is silent. But He is not. He is always working, even when His work is hidden. He is shaping hearts, raising up voices, stirring revival in unexpected places, and preparing answers we haven’t imagined.
Habakkuk reminds us: God’s silence is never absence. His delay is never inactivity.
Closing Prayer:
Father, help me trust that You are working even when I cannot see it. Strengthen my faith when Your answers surprise me. Teach me to rest in Your wisdom. In Jesus’ name, AMEN!
