“Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”
Matthew 11:28 (NKJV)
The pressure of April 15th has passed. Whether you filed your return or submitted an extension, the weight of the deadline is behind you. Today feels different—lighter, quieter, calmer. It’s the exhale after the long inhale.
Jesus’ invitation in Matthew 11:28 is especially meaningful today:
“Come to Me… and I will give you rest.”
Rest doesn’t always mean inactivity. Sometimes it means relief. Sometimes it means knowing you’ve done what you needed to do. Sometimes it means trusting God with what comes next.
Today is a day to breathe again. To thank God for strength. To acknowledge His presence in the pressure and His peace in the aftermath. You handled what was required—now let your soul settle.
Closing Prayer:
Lord, thank You for carrying me through the pressure of yesterday. Give me rest today — rest for my mind, my emotions, and my spirit. Help me breathe deeply and trust You fully. In Jesus’ name I pray, AMEN!
