“Preparing for the Deadline”

Matthew 22:21 (NKJV)

As April 15 approaches, the pressure often increases. Even if everything is nearly finished, the deadline itself has a way of stirring tension. Jesus’ words about giving to Caesar what belongs to Caesar remind us that some responsibilities simply come with life. Taxes fall into that category.

But Jesus also reminds us that while we give what is required, we must not surrender what belongs to God—our peace, our trust, our identity, our joy. Responsibilities may demand our attention, but they do not deserve our hearts.

Today is a day to prepare—not just paperwork, but your spirit. You can fulfill your obligations without letting them consume you. You can approach tomorrow with a steady heart because God holds what matters most.

Closing Prayer:

Father, help me prepare for tomorrow with a peaceful spirit. Let my responsibilities be handled with honesty, and let my heart remain anchored in You. Keep me calm, focused, and faithful. In Jesus’ name I pray, AMEN!
