Your Body Is a Stewardship
“Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.”
1 Corinthians 6:19 – 20 (NKJV)
A physical therapist sees the body not as disposable but as valuable—worth strengthening, protecting, and restoring. Scripture goes even further: your body is a temple, a sacred dwelling place of the Holy Spirit.
That truth reframes everything. Caring for your physical health isn’t vanity; it’s stewardship. Pursuing balance, strength, and mobility isn’t selfish; it’s worship. When you honor your body, you honor the God who redeemed it.
But the same is true spiritually. Your soul is not your own. Your thoughts, habits, and desires are meant to reflect the One who lives within you. Spiritual balance means aligning your inner life with God’s purposes.
Physical therapy teaches us that healing takes time. Biblical therapy teaches us that transformation takes surrender. Both remind us that we belong to Someone who cares deeply about our wholeness.
Closing Prayer
Father, thank You for making my body Your temple. Help me honor You with my choices—physically, mentally, and spiritually. Strengthen me to live as one who belongs to You. In Jesus’ name, AMEN!
