Living Wisely in a Fast-Moving World

Thursday – We Return to Dust

“You turn man to destruction, return to dust . . . carry them away like a flood.”

Psalm 90:3-4 (NKJV)

Now Moses brings us face‑to‑face with our mortality. Not to discourage us, but to awaken us. When we forget how brief life is, we drift. We waste time. We assume we have endless tomorrows. But when we remember our days are limited, our priorities sharpen. We love better. We forgive quicker. We invest in what matters.

This passage isn’t morbid—it’s clarifying. It reminds us that our value doesn’t come from how long we live. Our worth comes from the God who gives us life. Our days may be short, but they can be meaningful when surrendered to Him.

Let this truth shape your choices today. You don’t have forever, but you do have now. And now is enough for God to work wonders.

Closing Prayer

Father, teach me to live wisely. Help me value each day as a gift. Keep me from wasting the time You’ve entrusted to me. Shape my priorities according to Your heart. In Jesus’ name, AMEN!
