Living Wisely in a Fast-Moving World

Wednesday – A Thousand Years Like Yesterday

“. . . a thousand years in Your sight are like yesterday when it is past . . .”

Psalm 90:4 (NKJV)

Moses now contrasts God’s eternity with our brevity. What feels long to us is a blink to Him. This isn’t meant to make us feel insignificant—it’s meant to free us. We don’t have to carry the weight of the world. We don’t have to control outcomes. We don’t have to panic when life feels slow or fast.

God sees the whole picture. What feels delayed to us may be right on time to Him. What feels overwhelming to us is well within His capacity. When we remember this, we stop demanding that God work on our schedule and start trusting His.

This verse invites us to breathe, release, and rest. God is not late. God is not early. God is eternal—and He is good.

Closing Prayer

Lord, help me trust Your timing. When I feel rushed or frustrated, remind me that You see what I cannot. Teach me to rest in Your eternal perspective. In Jesus’ name, AMEN!
