Tuesday – Before Time Began
“Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever You had formed the earth and tehe world, even from everlasting to everlasting, You are God.”
Psalm 90:2 (NKJV)
Moses now lifts our eyes from our temporary world to God’s eternal nature. Mountains feel ancient and immovable, yet God existed before they ever rose from the earth. He is not simply older than creation—He is outside of time altogether.
Why does this matter for us? Because the God who holds eternity also holds today. He is never surprised, never rushed, never overwhelmed. We often feel pressed by deadlines. Aging or the pace of life can also press us. In those times, we can rest in the One who is not bound by the ticking clock.
This verse reminds us that our lives are not random blips on a cosmic timeline. They are held within the eternal purposes of a God who has always been and always will be. When we trust Him, we step into a story far bigger than our own.
Closing Prayer
Everlasting God, thank You that You existed before anything I see or fear. Teach me to trust Your eternal wisdom in my temporary world. Anchor my heart in Your unchanging nature. In Jesus’ name, AMEN!
