Growing in the New Season

“. . . the time of singing has come . . .”

Song of Solomon 2:12b (NKJV)

Growth is one of the clearest signs of Spring. It is also one of the clearest signs of God’s work in us. In the workplace, growth may look like learning a new skill. It could also involve improving communication or strengthening patience. Another form of growth is stepping into a new responsibility. Growth stretches us, but it also energizes us.

The “season of singing” comes when we lean into what God is doing instead of resisting it. When we embrace growth, joy follows. Not because everything is easy, but because we sense God shaping us.

Think about where you’re being stretched right now. Maybe it’s a challenging assignment, a new process, or a relationship that requires extra grace. Instead of seeing these as burdens, what if they are invitations? What if God is using them to grow something in you that couldn’t develop in winter?

Spring is a season of participation. God brings the warmth, but the flowers still have to open. Today, choose to open.

Closing Prayer

Lord, help me grow in the places You are renewing. Give me a willing spirit and a joyful heart as I embrace the stretching You’re doing in me. In Jesus’ name, AMEN!
