Bones and Weather

Bones That Remember

“I will remember the works of the LORD; surely I will remember Your wonders of old.”

Psalm 77:11 (NKJV)

As we age, our bones often carry the weight of years—years of work, years of movement, years of life lived. They ache not only because of weather changes but because they have carried us through decades of experiences. And in those decades, God has been faithful.

Our bones may feel worn out, but they also hold memories. They have walked through seasons of joy, seasons of sorrow, seasons of uncertainty, and seasons of blessing. They have knelt in prayer, stood in worship, and carried us through moments when God showed Himself strong.

Cooler weather may bring discomfort, but it also brings quiet moments—moments to reflect on the goodness of God. When the body slows down, the heart often becomes more attentive. We remember the Lord’s works, His wonders, His faithfulness across the years.

Take time today to remember. Remember the prayers He answered. Remember the storms He calmed. Remember the valleys He walked you through. Remember the blessings He poured out when you least expected them. These memories warm the heart even when the bones feel chilled.

Your body may ache, but your memories testify: God has been faithful, and He still is.

Closing Prayer:

Lord, thank You for the memories You’ve woven into my life. Warm my heart with reminders of Your faithfulness. In Jesus’ name I pray, AMEN!
