Wisdom for the Asking

“If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.”

James 1:5

God never withholds wisdom from those who ask. He doesn’t scold us for not knowing enough or shame us for our confusion. Instead, He invites us to come boldly and ask freely. Wisdom is His generous gift, poured out without hesitation. When life feels complicated or unclear, the wisest thing we can do is simply ask.

But asking requires humility. It means admitting that our insight is limited and that God’s perspective is better. When we ask in faith, we position ourselves to receive guidance that is pure, peaceable, and aligned with His will. Wisdom is not earned—it is received.

Closing Prayer:

Lord, I ask You today for Your wisdom. Give me clarity, understanding, and discernment as I walk through the decisions before me. In Jesus’ name, AMEN!
