The Power of Persistent Prayer

“Then He spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not lose heart.”

Luke 18:1 (NKJV)

Jesus taught that we “ought always to pray and not lose heart.” He knew discouragement can silence prayer. When answers seem delayed or circumstances worsen, prayer can feel ineffective. But persistent prayer is a declaration of faith—trusting that God hears, cares, and acts.

The persistent widow kept returning because she believed justice would come. Prayer warriors keep returning because they believe God is faithful. Persistent prayer shapes us. It deepens trust, strengthens endurance, and aligns our hearts with God’s timing.

Bring your long-standing prayers before the Lord again today. He has not forgotten them.

Closing Prayer:

Lord, strengthen my persistence in prayer. Help me trust Your timing and remain faithful until Your answer comes. In Jesus’ name, AMEN!
