Trust is not built on our feelings; it is built on God’s faithfulness. Jeremiah wrote these words in a season of deep sorrow, yet he declared, “Great is Your faithfulness.” Trust looks at circumstances honestly but looks at God faithfully.

God’s faithfulness means He is consistent, dependable, and unwavering. He does not change with seasons, emotions, or situations. His mercies are new every morning—not recycled, not leftover, but fresh. That means every sunrise carries a new supply of grace for whatever the day holds.

Resting in God’s faithfulness means releasing the pressure to perform, fix, or control. It means believing that God will be faithful today just as He was yesterday—and just as He will be tomorrow.

Trust grows when you rehearse God’s past faithfulness:

• The prayers He answered.
• The strength He supplied.
• The peace He gave.
• The doors He opened.
• The burdens He lifted.

If He was faithful then, He will be faithful now. Rest in that truth today.

Lord, thank You for Your unfailing faithfulness. Help me rest in Your mercy today and trust Your heart even when life feels heavy. Remind me of Your goodness and steady my spirit with Your promises. In Jesus’ name I pray, AMEN!
