After all his searching, all his frustration, Solomon lands on something beautiful. The ability to enjoy your work—to eat, drink, and find satisfaction in an honest day’s labor—is a gift from God.

Not a reward for the successful. Not a bonus for the elite. A gift. From God’s own hand.

We often think enjoyment comes after we achieve something. Once I get the raise. Once the kids are grown. Once I retire. But Solomon says the enjoyment is the gift—right now, in the middle of the work, not just at the end of it.

This changes how we see Monday morning. It changes how we see the mundane task, the repetitive meeting, the thankless job. If God can give you joy in your labor, then no honest work is beneath you.

You don’t have to wait for results to find meaning. Meaning is woven into the work itself when you receive it as from God’s hand.
