“Saying Yes When Others Say No”

“When a man takes hold of his brother in the house of his father, saying, ‘you have clothing; you be our ruler, and let these ruins be under your power,’ in that day he will protest, saying, ‘I cannot cute your ills, for in my house is neither food nor clothing; do not make me a ruler of the people.’ “

Isaiah 3:6-7 (NKJV)

God uses people who are willing, not perfect.

All week we’ve seen the same theme: in Isaiah’s day, people refused to lead. They refused to take responsibility. They refused to step into the roles God placed before them.

But God is always looking for people who will say yes.

A “yes” from an ordinary person has changed history more times than we can count.

  • Noah said yes and built an ark.
  • Abraham said yes and stepped into the unknown.
  • Esther said yes and saved a nation.
  • Mary said yes and carried the Savior.
  • The disciples said yes and changed the world.

Your yes matters too.

Isaiah 3 shows us what happens when people say no. Scripture shows us what happens when people say yes.

Today, end the week with a simple prayer: “Lord, whatever You ask, my answer is yes.”

You don’t need a title. You don’t need a cloak. You don’t need perfection. You just need a willing heart.

Closing Prayer:

Lord, today I offer You my yes. Wherever You lead, I will follow. Whatever You ask, I will trust You. Use my life to bring hope, healing, and light to others. Make me a willing servant and a courageous leader. In Jesus’ name, AMEN!
