“For lo, the winter is past, the rain is over and gone.”
Song of Solomon 2:11 (NKJV)
In the workplace, “winter” can look like stalled projects. It can manifest as low morale, slow progress, or seasons where everything feels harder than it should. We all know what it’s like to push through days that feel cold or heavy. But winter is never wasted. Even in nature, winter strengthens roots, restores the soil, and prepares the ground for growth.
This verse announces a shift — not just in weather, but in season. God is saying, “The hard stretch is giving way to something new.” Before flowers bloom or birds return, God speaks a promise: winter is behind us. That declaration is the first sign of Spring.
As we begin this workweek, consider where you’ve felt “stuck” or dormant. Maybe it’s a task that hasn’t moved, a relationship that’s been strained, or a goal that felt out of reach. God is inviting you to see that the season is changing. The cold chapter is closing. Renewal is beginning.
In the workplace, Spring looks like fresh ideas, renewed energy, restored teamwork, and a sense of momentum returning. It’s God reminding us that He is not done working — in us or through us.
Closing Prayer
Lord, thank You that no winter lasts forever. As I begin this week, help me recognize the new season You’re bringing. Renew my energy, my attitude, and my hope. In Jesus’ name, AMEN!
