“Beginning a Week of Responsibility”

“This being so, I myself always strive to have a conscience without offense toward God and men.”

Acts 24:16 (NKJV)

Tax week begins with a familiar mixture of responsibility and pressure. Whether you filed early or still have work to do, the days leading up to April 15 carry a certain weight. It’s a week that reminds us that life includes obligations we cannot ignore — and that integrity matters in the details.

Paul’s words in Acts 24:16 give us a grounding place to start: he strives to keep a clear conscience before God and people. That’s not about perfection; it’s about intention. It’s about approaching responsibilities with honesty, diligence, and a heart that wants to do what is right.

As this week begins, you may feel the pressure building. But God meets you right here—in the paperwork, the decisions, the deadlines, and the emotions that come with them. A clear conscience brings peace, and peace brings strength for the days ahead.

Let this Monday be a reminder that God walks with you through every responsibility. You are not alone in this week.

Closing Prayer:

Lord, help me begin this week with integrity and calm. Give me clarity as I handle my responsibilities and peace as I walk through each day. Steady my heart and guide my steps. In Jesus’ name I pray, AMEN!
