Peace in the Pace
“He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake.”
Psalm 23:2-3 (NKJV)
Life rarely slows down on its own. Deadlines, responsibilities, and expectations can push us into a pace God never intended. David reminds us that the Shepherd leads us to quiet waters. This means peace isn’t something we stumble into. It’s something we follow Him toward.
Restoration doesn’t happen in hurry. It happens when we pause long enough to breathe, listen, and remember who is leading us. Even a few moments of stillness can re-center your heart and restore your perspective.
Today, let God set your pace. Let Him lead you to quiet waters—even if only for a moment—and allow Him to restore what hurry has drained.
Prayer:
Shepherd of my soul, slow my steps today. Lead me to quiet places where I can hear Your voice and find rest. Restore my heart, renew my mind, and steady my spirit. In Jesus’ name I pray, AMEN!
